1. Acceptance of Terms.
Please read these terms carefully before using the Dreamland Stock Exchange (the DSE) service in any way. By using this web site and/or the DSE, you (any parties using the DSE website for any purposes, including investing through the DSE and otherwise participating in DSE trading) indicate that you have read and accept the DSE Terms of Service. The DSE and the DSE web site are operated by Anshe Chung Studios (ACS). ACS reserves the right to post changes to the DSE Terms of Service on this site without notice to you at any time. To view the current version of the DSE Terms of Service, simply return to this site. ACS (we) may withdraw the service, or parts of the service, at any time at its complete and sole discretion. By use of this service you agree to any further or revised Terms of Service published periodically on this site.
2. Description of Service.
The Dreamland Stock Exchange is a fictional securities exchange using third party fictional currency services for the purpose of providing a simulated, entertaining, and educational trading environment based on virtual companies using fictional currencies. Fictional currencies are used as game tokens and have no inherent monetary value.
All simulated services provided by ACS on the Dreamland Stock Exchange are an imaginative creation in a virtual world environment that are without basis in reality and hold no legal monetary or asset value.
3. Indemnity.
ACS does not guarantee that access to or use of this website or any services will be uninterrupted or error free, and we shall not be held liable for any feature not being accessible, or for any errors or the unavailability of the DSE web site or its services. The DSE website and its features may be expanded, limited or modified at any time by ACS- to meet the needs of its users, for technical reasons, or for any other reason- without advance notice. We may also in our sole discretion, and at any time, discontinue providing, temporarily or permanently, any or all of the web site and its services, without notice.
4. Investment risk.
As all investment involves risk, virtual investment may involve loss of virtual capital. While investors may research and use investment tools to gain useful information before buying or selling stocks no one can predict market activity with distinct accuracy. No warranty is given as to the accuracy of information provided in relation to third party offers of services or financial products, and should you choose to rely on them, you do so at your own risk. Before you invest you need to understand that investing involves risks and you should act carefully and assume responsibility for your own actions. While ACS rejoices with you in your profit, we take no responsibility for loss of virtual capital.
5. Account name and password security.
You shall not reveal your user or account name or password to any other person. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your DSE account name and password and are fully responsible for all activities that occur through your account or password. You agree to (a) immediately notify ACS of any unauthorized use of your password or account or any other breach of security, and (b) ensure that you exit from your account at the end of each session. ACS cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with these rules.
6. Share & Stock Trading Businesses.
In the case that you choose to invest in virtual stock through the DSE, holding a virtual company's Shares or Stock means that you may be one of many owners (shareholders) of a virtual company and if the company conducts business well, you may have a chance to earn virtual profit by investment. The DSE charges a fictional currency commission to the seller of 2% on the sale of shares. The management of a company is responsible to increase the value of the company for the sake of shareholders. You may ask DSE representatives to communicate with a company's CEO or CFO to discuss ways to improve their business. You may also sell Shares or Stock to display your unhappiness with corporate decisions.
Individuals generally buy Shares or Stock in order to see an increase in the value while holding on to the Shares or Stock over a period of weeks, months, or years in order to receive dividends paid by the company during that period. Dividend payment periods are up to each company. The DSE suggests dividends be paid monthly, quarterly or annually. Each company having conducted its business well is responsible to share profits with its shareholders. Buying Shares or Stocks in hopes of receiving greater dividends is known as Investing or having an Investment. People who invest are known as Investors, and will usually have an Investment Strategy along with an Investment Portfolio.
